The common differential diagnosis of a combination of these symptoms which include headache, fever, red eyes, red spots under the arms is a condition which is called as scarlet fever. One of the causes for this is the measles and there are common other causes which can be seen in certain immunocompromised individuals also. But scarlet fever is a commonest diagnosis that we make when we see a combination of these symptoms and these are usually as a result of a streptococcal infection. It is a common infection which can be treated with the penicillin group of drugs. And after we make a proper diagnosis initiation of these antibiotics for a course of five to seven days would normally result in complete resolution of these symptoms.
