I loved then HATED the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ending

Dr Strange has a photographic memory (as established in his first movie). He memorized a page of the Darkhold when he used it to dream-walk into Zombie Strange. The third eye is established as being a side effect of using the Darkhold - evil dimension strange develops it from overusing the Darkhold. Although, I’m not sure why Wanda doesn’t develop one. Perhaps it’s because she is the Scarlett Witch and is a being comprised entirely of magic.

The third eye was not a suspense. It just showed how the sinister strange( the one who have him the darkhold) warned him, that the book "takes a heavy toll"
And since that one also used darkhold at some point, he himself has a third eye. Therefore, he warns the original Dr strange for the consequences of using it. The third eye was basically a result of using the darkhold, nothing else
