As a swede, I'd say it's the opposite. We say that we hate each other but deep down, we have a love and respect that goes both ways.

Being Norwegian, I do pretty much consider them and us to be the same people. Its more like we have weird dialects than actual separate languages.

It can only be described as a sibling relationship. Sweden and Denmark are the same age siblings, constantly fighting each other. Norway is the younger, spoiled sibling. Finland is the cool middle child, and Iceland is the kinda related cousin that always stays in his room working on something weird.

Half Dane/half swede here, I've always seen the countries as siblings. They make fun of each other and even fight it out sometimes, but if it ever truly mattered we'd be there for one another.
