i had this planned for a while since i knew the last smash ultimate dlc for fighters pass 2 was going to be revealed! unfortunate it landed on the same week as nickelodeon all star brawl but it is what it is, still got it out in a good time!

So yeah, these are all the trailers.
From Brawl, my favorite is definitely Sonic (not much competition there) however sonic was my childhood videogame character, and live and learn is such a banger that it was just so free regardless

From Smash 4, i definitely give it to lucina and robin... but mostly because of captain falcon appearing lol. mans steals the show! Lucas also being revived after the brawl cut was also an absolutely glorious moment. though overall (outside of dlc) smash 4 really had great trailers- rosa, little mac, shulk, palutena were all fantastic

And finally ultimate... here they ramped it up a TON. my personal favorite is definitely "everyone is here," too iconic not to be. but for an individual character, it's sephiroth. i wish i was an actual final fantasy 7 fan to be able to truly enjoy it, but regardless it's still so sick. sora, hero, steve, king k rool, ridley all being in S+ tier shows how much love and effort they put into the characters (and interestingly enough almost all of them being dlc!)

hope you enjoyed fellas, def gonna keep making more smash bros content but man it's so sad to see this game come to an end with dlc. one last thank you to sakurai here man, what an absolute legend.

I think Joker’s reveal is S+ because at the game awards the lights went out as it went on screen, making it look like Joker snuck into the game awards to steal the smash invitation, it was AMAZING

Fun fact: When it says "Lucas comes out of nowhere" its actually not only a reference to him being thrown in last minute but also to the nowhere islands where he's from in Mother 3.

Not gonna lie, the Everyone is Here trailer is my favourite trailer, ever. Not only was it immensely hype, but I still truly believe it's still extremely hype to this day. I still get shivers watching it.
Plus, it was in the first Direct I ever watched, and it was also watched by me live too. I can't forget that.

I think my favorite part about the Steve reveal is how just after it officially drops there's this awkward silence where Mario stares at em just as shocked and confused as the rest if us were.

I feel Sephiroth's reveal should be an example on how you want to to a reveal trailer enjoyable and hype even for people that don't know the character. I think it helped that his theme fitted perfectly the situation

For me personally the best of the best trailers were Everyone is Here, Steve, Joker, Sephiroth, Mega Man, Sora and the original Smash Ultimate/Inkling trailer in that order.

I’m sorry how was Terry’s reveal so low? I didn’t know who Terry was before smash. Yet I loved it. It was kinda fun seeing all the people trynna grab it. And I loved the pixelated animation, it reminded me of my favorite era of gaming which was when games looked that way.
