Fun fact: The reason Sonic appears so late in Subspace is because Saukurai asked SEGA if he could be in the game, which their initial response was no. At the end of development, SEGA changed their mind to have him in the game, so they had to rush him into the subspace story.

Here’s the issue:
Kirby dodged Galeem’s attack and not Tabuu’s, but that was because Kirby had the Warp Star and had time to react and dodge the lasers until the planet they were on got consumed, while Tabuu’s was more of a radius at the start, Galeem’s lasers also got Sonic, who wasn’t hit by Tabbu at all.
Also, in the area you fight Marx, the last fighter you are required to fight before the boss fight is a Tabuu spirit, who’s under Dharkon’s control at the moment.
So it’s either Dharkon or Galeem for me.

You forgot the fact that Sonic wasn’t there in Tabuu’s statue blast, he didn’t destroy Tabuu, he injured him with a sneak attack when Tabuu was focused on the other fighters, and Sonic showed up ONCE at the end, the others did all the work, Sonic just showed up at the final battle and helped.
If we’re talking about the goat in TSSE, then it’s King DDD.
If it wasn’t for his DDD badge things, the story have ended right then and there; Sonic wouldn’t be able to take on Tabuu alone considering he couldn’t have snuck up on Tabuu like he did.
