I have struggled for years hating myself because I was living the consequences of my past decisions. The bible says forgiveness is a gift to yourself. Hating yourself can only last so long before very a very dangerously negative life is all you live. The Lord finally has shown me over and over in his words: this to shall pass and to live with hope. I have finally learned, if you can start the day with even one positive word about myself, the whole day is filled with hope and Satan can no longer steal my joy. Here's the trick. When I get up every morning and no matter my mood or how I hurt physically, I say "Good morning good looking" to myself in the mirror. Take my word for it, it's a blessing.

I’m getting older, my faith is getting stronger. It’s always been so hard to forget about things I shouldn’t be worrying about! This made me feel very comfortable, but somehow reminded me of these words spoken in Exodus.
