Tyres should have nothing to do with how they look, its all about grip, braking and performance

I think performance is more important than looks.

All raw material of tire are from China being used in Michelin Sandy Springs manufacturing plant. also 100% of chinese materials are used to manufacturing tire in Bridgestone Pkwy, La Vergne plant. Both were used from Indonesia, but since 2007 all tire material are used from China. There is no raw material of tire manufacturer in USA. please reserch more.

all the best brands are OEM in China anyway. I was skeptical initially, but I tried the Chinese anyway to give them a go. The result, i honestly cant tell the difference.

I worked at a Michelin plant in my early 20s. We used machines from the 1940s. I was on a line making tires for Canadian Tire Certified brand. They put stamps in the press to make the letters when the tire is cured. Now days some of those lines of tires are made in China. My BF Goodrich are stamped made in China. It’s all about profits for the investors not “you”. So go buy $1200 tires to make yourself feel good. At the end of the day the truth is either bitter, stings or cuts just like medicine. Heck this phone I am using is made in China. It must be ready to explode from poor quality... 😮

I have been using Hifly tires 275x70x16 A/T for about 15 yrs now here in Trinidad. They are affordable, I get about 55, 000 kilometres out of them, find they handle quite good on dry and wet roads. Not noisy. Our roads are pretty bad and with a lot of curves in the part of the country I live I have no complaints about them. 👍🏼🤙🏾🇹🇹

Even blocks create noise. Did they remember to include sidewall belts. The rubber is a different compond for snow tires did the cheap tire use a cold weather compond or one for a hot climate. Did the cheap tire get the sipes angles correct for biting into snow

Hi guys & gals....I installed 4 Dynamo winter tires in Feb 22 & just installed another set of the same brand from Cdn Tire yesterday. They are very good in the snow & worked well going up my very steep driveway! I took them off with 37, 000 kms = 23, 000 miles. I likely had another 2-3 thousand kms left on them but we are going to go on a small vacation next week. They also are exceptionally quiet on the road with great for $110. each....why not ??

Not all cheap tyres are good BUT many cheap tyres from China actually take the best from the best.
They copy the best features... Unethically maybe... and make them to a price.
From my experience as a tyre fitter, I can vouch that many cheap tyres are well built e.g. HiFly, Triangle, Rapid, Silverstone, etc. They need less than 35g to balance as compared to other cheap brands from India or Indonesia that make lopsided tyres that need 75g weights to balance.

You can't look at a tyre and determine if it's good or not.
Much of the tyre's performance will be its structure.

I use the Goodride tyres on our Subaru and the Anchee A/T tyres on our Ford Territory and both are unbelievable value for money.

Mobility in snow is were we at, a refreshing take on budget winters, well done. Totally agree budget winters are good looking. Modern euro style premium winters are near useless. We need muscle.

I can cut a sweet ass tread design in a hockey puck, doesn't mean it's going to help me stop. The cuts and sipe's only go down 2/32nds.
There's so many different grades of rubber that the recipes are infinite. If you feel the compound on a Michelin Xice Xi3 or a Blizzak WS80 and then feel The Chinese tires it's a world of difference. There are many factors into purchasing a tire. Not only how long they last but how well they work further in the tire's life. The braking distance on a premium tire VS. a Chinese tire. Road noise as well, luggy tread is only good for a little bit of deep snow, NOT on ice. You need to maximize your footprint with the proper compound for grip .You as the Consumer take all the risk on this garbage. internally the casing, belts and liner and full process of workmanship and material as well. Road force issues are more prone and problematic . KNOW WHAT YOUR PAYING FOR!!! My family is worth more than the MOST expensive tire's. When Driving a 3 tonne vehicle moving at high speeds metal over flesh always wins!! DON'T CHEAP OUT!!!
