BMW Remote Sport Exhaust Cutout - Ebay Mod

Today i show you the installation process and results of an electronic valve exhaust cutout on my BMW E90 330i.
The cutout is installed just before the muffler making it basically a muffler delete with the versatility of being stock when needed and sporty when you want to get on the throttle.

tip for anyone. next time you make an accidental hole in plastic, take a soldering iron and some black tie wraps to it. sometimes you can smooth it out to like it never happened.

I plan to install this kind of valve on my 2001 Audi S6 (4.2 V8, stock exhaust for the moment), I will post a video if I ever do it!

sounds great! I also have a 330i, and am looking at a QTP cutout. One thing you might wanna consider, as it didnt show in the video. did you wire an inline fuse from the battery ? or did it come with an inline fuse already pre wired ? hate for you to blow the electric motor. have a good one.

What would you do if this stopped working? I guess you could get under the car and manually open/close it? Is anything going through the stock exhaust once this is fitted?

Hey I have a question, so I measured the diameter of the exhaust and it’s around 2.35 inches in diameter. You bought a 3” pipe for yourself, wasn’t that too big. I have a 2015 535i msport btw

Does this trigger any check engine lights at all ??. I once had an accidental crack in the exhaust that sounded great actually but it kept triggering an O2 sensor check engine light. Maybe this doesn’t hopefully
