Please change the title of the video, It will help the Youtube search engine and actually get people to the right video. Something along the lines of "B58 exhaust Cutout" or "540i exhaust cut outs". I have been looking for a video just like yours to see and hear what the cut outs would sound like and was confused by the title of the video. I’m debating on this approach vs. a Valvetronic exhaust for my X5. My plan was to get a different muffler with an electric cutout, but I do worry about rattling and possible seizing up from salt/corrosion. With a Valvetronic, my concern is that it will sound same as factory exhaust with valve closed.

Do you have to push ond hold the buttons to open and close completely? Or is it a quick press and opens/closes completely?

Why doesn’t it have a second flap to direct 100% of the air through the cutout? And block it from going down the standard exhaust?
