I cook rice the Nigerian way, put rice in pot, pour over boiling hot water, boil it for 3-5 minutes, then rinse out all the starch and dirt in a sieve, then put rice in pot with fresh boiling hot water. Then add what you want to add. After a good starch boil out it will never stick. Bonus is you don't have a Nigerian shouting at you that you are wasting time and water lol.

My mum taught me this too, and I usually use foil instead of plastic. Big 👍 mummy❤

My mom taught me this method of adding butter then cover the pot with a washed plastic. I don’t use the plastic anymore because of health concerns.
