Absolutely agree after having the black keyboard last year the white not only looks awesome with the new silver iPad but it definitely is easier to keep clean.

Bought both but endied up keeping the black. White looks nice but the keys were hard to see even in blacklight on and when i was using the ipad and watching movies the white keyboard area was distracting against the black ipad screen. Just wasnt immersive as the black lkeyboard. So while white looks nice but in terms of function the black was better.

Letting the iPad going back further defies the laws of physic. You would need a far heavier base on the keyboard side to hold it together. Just my two cents.

Appreciate the review, and it did make me rethink my decision to get a black one, but despite the marks showing more I'm still going to buy the black one. I'm too big of a fan of the dark mode theme with a space grey ipad to give that up. The white one just doesn't resonate with me the same way the black one does. Still appreciate the review, now I know exactly what to expect instead of getting a nasty surprise when I buy it

If the iPad tilted back much further on the magic keyboard the whole thing would tip over or they would have to make the bottom every heavier to compensate for the weight shifting.

Ordered the white one today to go along my M1 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Main reason I went with white is ‘cause it reminds me a lot of one of my favourite Apple designs ever: the white MacBook! Think with good care it should continue to keep looking good, my iPad is my laptop (use an iMac as a Mac) so will go to loads of places

I have the black cover for more than year, this cover received fried potates, guacamole, cheddar, beer, mustard, coke etc etc, and still black. I am not kidding, still black, I cannot imagine the white version can tolerate my life style.

For me the black one is a no no because of the all black keys and board, I find it much easier to "look over" the all white at the screen. The all black keys and surround is heavy looking and distracting. I am used to a silver mac book pro with black keys, which seems ideal. I am worried all white will look "cheap" though. I wish I could get to a shop to look at them both. So I am going white.

I bought the white. After just a few months it has black grease stains on it from my hands and blue stains from my clothes. Tried everything can’t get the stains out
