Some people already forgot that during the Han dynasty of china. There's already an examination given to all people born from the aristocrats family who want to serve the Han government. Exams given during the Han dynasty was the hardest as only those who was genius can passed the exam. Chinese people know the history of china on how Han dynasty of china was the most powerful nation as it has many genius scholars during that time.

A great number of excellent colleges and university don't even bother to look at SAT scores. They do look at HS grades. Gaokao is totally different and a much more grueling exam.
