This is why Ukraine keeps pushing for immediate entry into the NATO alliance and precisely why NATO isn't agreeing to let Ukraine join the coalition at this time.

One stray plane. One stray bomb. Many different errors could be made by Russia to invoke Article 5.

This is history repeating itself. What was cliché before, is now a bloody reality.

If NATO and Russia actually engage.. that will be scary. We have never seen advanced, modern militaries fight each other.

*"I DON'T NEED A RIDE, I NEED AMMUNITION"* ...this is what Ukrainian president said.. I give the utmost respect to Zelensky for his courage, and bravery and sticking together with his people 👍

If people know how world war 1 started then the volatile situation happening right now should be a great concern to everyone…

Article 5 would only be activated if Russia attacked a NATO country. It wouldn't be the Russian-Ukraine war, it would be a brand new war that Russia started. A fundamental misunderstanding of the situation, and I expect better.

I pray 🙏 this does not escalate more than what’s already going on.

On September 26th 1983 the nuclear early-warning radar of the Soviet Union reported the launch of one intercontinental ballistic missile with four more missiles behind it, from bases in the United States. These missile attack warnings were suspected to be false alarms by Stanislav Petrov, an officer of the Soviet Air Defence Forces on duty at the command center of the early-warning system. He decided to wait for corroborating evidence—of which none arrived—rather than immediately relaying the warning up the chain-of-command. This decision is seen as having prevented a retaliatory nuclear attack against the United States and its NATO allies, which would likely have resulted to full-scale nuclear war

I hope they don't escalate this, hope they end it with a cease fire, no to war, no nuclear war nor ww3.

"Russians don't take a dump, son, without a plan" Famous movie line, but quite true. The consequences here are much higher than 9/11 retaliation.

As a Pole, I can confirm that we are ready to push red button of Article 5.
So we can
*DO IT*
We can

Just straight no. As a US Citizen I don't want our country at war with a nuclear power over this. I understand sanctions but think about if Mexico tried to join the Warsaw pact. We would be furious.
