Listen , we're number one at #deckrescuepainting and #deckrestorationpainting and #lifetimedeckarmor systems for a reason.

Because we develop solutions that preserve deck systems...

Silverback Epoxy is our answer to Very large cracks in deck posts , or small areas of wood damage that can be filled out, where we feel it would be a massive waist to replace a piece of lumber, we can utilize it to fill damage, gaps , voids...... paired with #rotshot we can even come in and dig rot out of wood and and solidify the surrounding area with #rotshot a penetrating Epoxy resin that hardens the soft areas and we can re-solididfy that board and fill the void where the rot was with silverback epoxy.....

this came into play this year at a home in Northern Kentucky where a 6 inch section of a 2x10 band board had rot .... the board was 20 feet long and had multiple rails tied into it.. to remove it meant to drop the rail systems...at a massive cost to the homeowner....

instead we were able to remove the rot, solidify the area and fill the damage in with silverback... the results were ......u couldn't even tell a Epoxy repair had taken place... for good measure once the silverback compound dried... we beat on it with a hammer for a few mins... no damage

now..
let's tLk about why else we use silverback..

well because all fillers eventually fail... I'll say that again.
"all fillers eventually fail"

what's cool about Silverback is when or if the space does expand and open up .. silverback if it looses adhesion typically just falls out or can be grabbed as a solid chunk and pulled out....

if we use caulking or some other compound it never cures in the crack and it's almost impossible to get out if expansion opens the crack up and you want to add something different. you end up with a rubbery sticky mess.. not with silverback.....just reapply and ur good for several more years.

I know you said a stain wouldn’t work, but what about a varnish? What are your thoughts on using a marine grade varnish on decks?

One thing I didn't hear...how do you know when it's dry enough to apply to the cracks?

I would think that whatever moisture is in the crack would be forever contained, which would accelerate the decay process.

Please elaborate

does it dry clear? Does it come in redwood?

I have a new house being built and we added 4 cedar post columns and the checking is just a real eye sore. If this epoxy is applied, what would use to cover it up color wise, since I’ve read you probably wouldn’t use a stain color

how can I get it from Canada? Looks like they don't ship to Canada

is this SB epoxy's main benefit in the fact that its easier to dispense as epoxy is epoxy and will dry hard as rock, so i'm wondering if the main advantage is the fact that it looks easier to apply this SB epoxy?
