SilverBack Epoxy is the official deck crack filler and deck repair epoxy of Kong Armor 🦍 the World's toughest Deck Armor coating system..

It cures harder than concrete , and unlike gooey messy caulk it actually has absurd adhesion and psi resistance that can actually hold cracks closed and keep them from re-opening.

what's this mean for customers of Kong Armor 🦍 #deckrestorationpainting ❓..... it means in addition to getting the toughest most advanced Lifetime Deck Armor system on the planet. Your also getting the toughest most advanced deck crack filler and repair epoxy available.

we do things better at Kong 🦍

sad truth ? most painters or tradesman who paint or stain decks a few times a year don't even know they are supposed to close deck post cracks and checking.

look at the post on all of our finished decks. They look like composite posts. why?

because we close off all of their openings. we fill in their knots and imperfections with Silverback Epoxy before we Armor encapsulate them with Kong.

if you do get lucky and find a painter or tradesman that acts to fill in deck post cracks #checking . unfortunately they've been taught by the large paint firms to use caulk. caulk cannot withstand the movement over time. it may hold up for a year ( maybe). bit eventually the cravk will open further. why? because caulk has no psi resistance. it tries to stretch and keep the crack close by expanding. and it fails eventually. leaving a gooey nasty mess inside your post cracks that is conductive of mildew and algae and mold growth. the large paint manufacturer want this for u. why? because then you need new , and then they need to be recaulked and repainted. ( more mula 💸💸💸) for them. lordy lordy.....

we do things different at Kong Armor. we keep our customers for life. we control our coating system and solutions not them...... yes we want to profit too. but by being helpful not by taking advantage.

look can silverback fail in a deck post crack....sure. it happens. but if it does... it will fail clean... meaning it will just fall out and the crack can be filled again without having to scrape out a gooey mess.

all of our lifetime deck armor systems get silverback epoxy.

I didn't know cracks were called checking

I’m currently restoring my back deck (which I started last year) which has tons of larger cracks-
I’ve used many different types of fillers/wood epoxy. All of which have cracked. So I’m definitely gonna give the Silverback a try.
Question: what is “checking”?

Can you make it into wood color, or do they have clear one?
