One of the worst mistake a customer can make is to purchase this crap ADP coverage! Trust me, it will never cover you!

This is really excellent, but it should be easier to add ADP on Lenovo website. It seems it should be included in the on-site warranty upgrade, but it's no explicitly mentioned so. I want it to be easy and transparent, so I have confidence in the ADP product that I am going to pay my money for. If it's vague, is the application of coverage also going to be vague - makes you wonder.

Additionally, being an ADR stock holder of Lenovo, it would be in my interest not to make an ADP claim unless absolutely necessary because not making the claim would increase my stock dividends. Therefore, if Lenovo allowed me to purchase ADP after 90 days and I do my best to protect my laptop, I would get an effective small amount of cash back in the form of Lenovo stock dividends. Wouldn't Lenovo get more investment from me if it allowed me to purchase ADP?

As much as I see this promotion video and receive promotion e-mails about ADP, I was not allowed to purchase it when I extended my warranty nearly two months ago because it has to be purchased within 90 days of system purchase. I would still love to purchase it even if you increased the price of the service by $100, added a $100-$200 deductible, or increased the waiting time of making a claim from 1 month to 2 months. There are third-party accidental insurances such as Worth Ave that allows you to purchase anytime, although the cost is somewhat higher (depending on the original system price) and they can only repair up to the price of the system (which can be unnerving if you discover from Lenovo parts lookup that a system board can cost up to $1200+). But I would prefer to purchase such insurance from Lenovo if I were given the chance and would love to purchase 5 years with Keep-Your-Drive (KYD) and additional battery warranty rather than my current 3-years on-site limited warranty. (In fact, I was a little annoyed that the Lenovo salesperson says only extended depot or on-site warranty was available and that KYD and battery warranty wasn’t). Additionally, if the unthinkable happens to my system, I would prefer Lenovo to restore my system to working order rather than to give me a new system because the system has a sentimental value to me (as if I were a Thinkpad collector). Given this sentimental value, I constantly worry if something beyond my control happens to the unit, making me unnecessarily worry too much sometimes.

Therefore, you can continue to send promotions about other Lenovo products through e-mail and web-ads, but that’s not what I would like to purchase from you. What I really want to purchase is even better warranty that the current 3-year extended warranty.

Hope that the Powers-That-Be read this message, even though I recognize that there can be too much corporate inertia from making my request come true. (I've seen plenty of corporate inertia in large corporations that I have worked for).
