Which Metal Detector Is The Best?

Slightly different video this week guys and something I have wanted to do in a long time. I pulled together 4 different Metal Detectors in attempt to see which one was better at picking up targets in the ground.

We tested:
Quest Q30+
Equinox 800
XP Deus
XP Deus ii

The results were fairly surprising! Want to see what we found?

Hit play and come along for the day while we try to uncover which out of the 4 machines we tested was the best on the day.

*Disclaimer*
The results of this test were based on the ground conditions of the field that day and each machine might preform differently in you're ground or area.

Enjoy!

Very informative video my friend! Like most detectorists I have tried a few different machines over the years usd to particularly like the Minelab II with Coiltek Platypus elliptical coil. I found a lot of hammie's with this but my friend waved a tiny celtic gold coin underneath it and it did not register! I Switched to Deus 1 after a spell with Etrac and the finds rate is very good, 3 gold coins etc but it does pick up coke & hot rocks. Like you say if you spend series money, you wont miss much in the first 8 inches, great review buddy!
Cheers

Great video but it would have been useful to see some sort of conclusion table of the results as it was quite hard remembering how each machine performed on each target at each depth

deus 2 with 11" coil vs nox with 15" coil its not quite a fair contest, isn"t it? this aside, i appreciate your work! nice vid!

Just goes to show, mega bucks does not automatically = depth. Most struggled with the deep targets, but all machines effective 5-10 inches which is what I would expect. No doubt some newly baptised Manticore users will post that they get 4 miles down 😂😂 but for the rest of us up to 10 inches is, in my view, excellent. Bear in mind the new Minelab X-Terra pro is £299 and will seek as deep as these 4 machines, it must be hard choosing which to buy. Easy for me as a C Scope 6 Mxi user, 10 inches depth is about right so I’m happy. Why should I spend hundreds more for a machine that is no deeper than what I already have? Great test young man, it has value and is very helpful. Love your channel, keep it up. 😁👍

The nox had a 15in coil deus 2 had a 11in so not a fair test to start with, And anyone who knows anything about how a detector works would no about the halo effect, So sticking targets in fresh soil is completely pointless and nothing like a true representation of these detectors , Trouble is people on YouTube have been detecting for a couple of years and think they no every thing , And newbies believe what they watch even though most of these clips are complete rubbish.
