Today we are beach metal detecting testing out the new Minelab X-Terra ELITE metal detector.
It's not always about the metal detector... there is LUCK, TIMING and PERSISTENCE involved...

I've been using the Minelab Equinox 800 iq metal detector for a few months now. It's a really good metal detector.👍

Great finds, that gold is awesome. Florida Detect said to put the scoop right behind the coil when it's on the target and scoop from there. Gives you more chance of getting it on the first scoop.

wow. looking at this right now. been out of this hobby for 20 years. had a whites but dad sold it. now looking at this one now since it looks better and comes with the wand.

You can possibly fix the ziper on the pouch by using thin needle nose pliers to spread the side of the ziper that is detatched from the zip and then pinch it back on there. 50/50 it works or the ziper just breaks off entirely

9 months late, but this popped up in my recommended and I'm happy it did! Great video, and this machine looks to work great! I'll consider it if I ever get back into detecting. I don't live near a coast though, and the place I live doesn't have a lot of good spots and is a bit stringent on detectorists. I'd love to move near a coast one day, if I'm successful enough to afford it.

Love your channel. If you carry a small magnet you can check your finds. Precious metals are not magnetic. That is why I also metal detect as well as magnet fishing. Hardly ever get coins or good jewelry magnet fishing.

Bought a nokta detector 4 years ago. Weekly trips to the beach to detect, up to 1.72 and about 3 pounds of lead sinkers.

My wife's Xterra Pro is a gold sniffing machine itself. The beach mode is actually multi although Minelab says it's 8Hz

Rub Crayola on your zippers whether they're plastic or brass or some other metal the paraffin in the Crayolas is perfect for this at waterproofs and lubricates

Yeah that is a rope chain. Awesome hunt. The Xtera Elite ran so smoothly and quietly in the water. That might be better then the Equinox 600.

Hey Austin. Awesome finds. It's a great feeling when you know your finds have paid for the detector...and on the first outing! By the way, from what I can tell on Minelab's website, the X-Terra Pro coils are compatible with the Elite. So your v8x should work on the Elite also. My Elite hasn't arrived yet, so haven't confirmed myself.
