I discovered a Monolith in the Desert on Google Earth

A tall, reflective object in a desolate land appeared on Google Earth, leaving me wondering if it was the result of man, nature, or perhaps something else..?

I needed answers and the Monolith beckoned. I hiked far into the desolate wilderness and unique Geologic landscape.

When I finally gazed upon its true form, the origin of the Monolith was made clear.

If anyone could help confirm my suspicions about how this Monolith was created, or any other observations you made about the unique Geology of this area during the course of the video, I would love to read it in the comments.

Honestly, thank you all so much for watching this video. I have my absolute favorite Google Earth Discovery coming for you all next week.

There was a cave with ruins on the other side of the ridge.

Just found your channel. I am 72 years old and am loving your adventures. I especially loved your music choice on this one. Please be careful and be sure to let others know where you are going and when they should expect you back. Many people die in the wilderness. I live in Colorado and have great respect for the dangers in the mountains. I especially love the drone footage.

I lived in southern Utah for 18 months back in 2016. Broke as hell but I found my real self, started to get in shape hiking every day.Best year of my life.Met some of the best people too.

Looks like an old waterfall. There's probably a ton of gold in the soil.

So, I really have been LOVING your stuff since I found your channel a couple months ago. DO NOT STOP what you are doing. Keep doing it like a fanatic. Nolan, you have some mojo here. Thank you!

Great footage, I like when you pan around a rock or formation so we get a good view, very satisfying to my curiosity. Too many camera operators annoyingly turn away juuuust short of the interesting bit, or only show a single angle and zoom in and out all the time. The slow tilt/rotate/elevate really works because you see the actual perspective and depth. Well done.
As someone who lives in a flat, grassy country these landscapes are beautiful and terrifying.
Seeing those cracked rocks I would expect there to break off massive chunks all the time, but I have no idea how likely that even is.

You have the coolest videos. You're mature as to how you go about showing your videos and the narration.

The amazing effect of wind, water and temperature, over time, relentlessly chiseling solid rock into fantastic geometries, is stunning to behold.
All of this obvious activity set against the stillness and silence experienced by the observer in the moment seems paradoxical.

The fact that you saw it on Google and actually went there is brilliant. Excellent drone footage, humorous tack and commentary.

The metal monoliths found in the desert, were placed there by an ""artist"", totally not alien, basically the ""artist"" was littering when he didn't take his art project out of the ground.

Lol it is so funny and interesting to see someone like you, following up on weird things that stand out in nature. We all would want to visit, but don't. Nice to see you do, and lovely that you video it, edit it, produce it and upload it. That is really nice of you and makes this channel, really interesting. I hope there is enough anomalies to keep it interesting :) I also hope this helps so people stay out of danger, and don't overrun nature too much. And surely not all that stands out (glitters) is gold. But that is part of the journey and adventure and surely sometimes can be also less interesting than we thought it could be. So really good job doing this. You seem to have a talent for it :D hehehe Good luck!

Great work here, Nolan! The drone footage was superb. The circular channel at the top of the canyon you were in, really puzzles me. If that was cut out, with years of wind and water, why don't the rocks on the floor of that area look weathered? They are as sharp and angular, as the stones, that haven't fallen yet. They should be semi polished, or worn a little bit. Anyway, great work. I can't climb around on boulders anymore, so I'll leave it to you, to take me there.

There's a number of locations near where I live in Southern Utah with columnar basalt cliffs like what you saw where you were at. I've always been fascinated with these types of rock formations ever since I moved out west. Western geology's pretty freakin' incredible! Quite the awesome spot you found there!

Wow, what an amazing location. It's either volcanic or the last remnants of a giant petrified tree stump. LOL

In Utah and Wyoming, you can be out prospecting or just being alone and not see another person for days. So pack accordingly.
Truly a LOT of peaceful fun.
I love living in Wyoming....as my gold nuggets, Iolite crystals and garnets of all colors attest😊
