11600K vs. 5600X vs. 10700K - Mid Range CPU Battle!

Glad to see CPU reviews here, just keep in mind to include 1% and 0.1% lows in your FPS charts. Other than that, great content as always.

For $300, the 10700k wins this hands down. Two more cores and four more threads. It's simply more "future proof" than the other chips. Ye, you may get another couple of FPS on the 5600x, but I'd rather go for the extra 2 cores, especially since it has a lead on pretty much any multi core task meaning that you may save 15-30 minutes on a full day of work every single day. This soon adds up over a period of months.
If it's a choice between two six corew CPU's then yes, I'd go for the 5600x every time, but those two cores and four threads are too juicy to give up.

got my 5600x clock at 4.5ghz paired with 6800xt on aorus pro x570 board (somehow praise Jesus) in mini ITX build couldn't be happier :)

Fine job here. Appreciate the 1440p results alongside the 1080p. The 5600X is the 6 core that thinks its an 8 core. Either 10700-series or 5600X are good. Just pick one. I own both. After you factor in gpu price, cpu/mobo price fades into insignificance. Can't find 5600X in stock at msrp? Then the choice is made for you unless you want to wait.

The one thing I do give Intel is ram stability and oc Ing. It’s honestly all over the place for zen 3 ram oc Ing once you hit 3600cl16 at even sub 600 trfc for 2x16 dual rank Samsung b die sticks. Then again I only have an matx b550m mag mortar mobo, which basically states that 3733 MHz is prolly the max. Personally not comfortable adding 1.45V and above on my ram kit, I prefer 1.4-1.425V. Lowering Trfc has a pretty big performance bump.

Copying from one to another and synthetic tests on both disks at the same time

I just picked up a 10400 for $130.00 and an i5 11600K for $249.99. Both make great for 1080P gaming rigs.

6:40 - ran into similar issue with 11600KF on Gigabyte B560O Aorus Pro AX, RAM Crucial Ballistix 3600CL16 2x8Gb sticks - it would not post in Gear 1 with XMP on. Only if I put Gear 2 or 3466 into BIOS settings the system would post. So I am using 3200CL16 now :/

The 5600x is still so tempting but holding off for the 5900x stocks to come back. The 5800x is still just wrong for the pricing and the heat it puts out compared to even the 5900x
