AMD fanboy: look at the power consumption
Intel fanboy: look at the price and fps

Number 1 mistake is you shouldn't overclocked the 5600X, just use PBO + Curve Optimizer cause overclocking the 5600x leads to lower single core performance and lower FPS. I tested it myself.

damn that 11600k is sucking a lot of power
performance wise not bad at all

How the hell is 11600k's core utilization so much higher in Death Stranding.

Basically a tie in performance if you count in max ram oc on both parts with 11600K showing no benefint above 3733 due to gear 2 and 5600X maxing out at 4000-4200 depending on bin. The biggest problem with 5600X is cpu price. The biggest problem with 11600K is MB-price and no cooler. A decent Z490 MB costs around 150-200usd, and a good cooler for 11600K around 50usd. A decent B550 MB costs about 100usd so basically both setups costs the same, performs similar if tweaked. Only major difference is powerconsumption which favors 5600X and temp due to large die size which favours 11600K. For the record I own a 5600X but consider the 11600K fairy equal considering what I just wrote.

An i5 drawing 150W while gaming... Intels 14nm process is really reaching its limits now, jesus christ

11600k seems like a nice deal. I already have my 5600x and a big factor is the lower power consumption. Those 55W will add up during it's lifecycle, making them cost a similar amount. But this is a close call.

finally the competitive battle of cpu we waiting for

You also need to consider the cost of a motherboard. For these tests you are looking at about $730 for the mobo and CPU for intel vs $690 for the AMD options. Most people will not be pairing a low to mid range CPU with those boards. If you use average $150-180 motherboards instead of $400+ for both and have the costs similar for both systems, the results will be quite different as the options for overclocking are much better for AMD in those ranges.

i5 11600K looking hella good. Basically the same or better than 5600X but way cheaper and you can heat your house with it. But you need to have a geothermal power plant in your PSU though.

If Intel can reach here with 14nm, Imagine what would happen if they make a 7nm processor 🔥🔥

Also just fyi, overclocking the 5600x decreases performance at times. I've seen many different side by side reviews that show it does better with PBO enabled, and nothing else. It will boost when it feels it's capable.

Both basically on par with Performance. I personally am going for the 5600x, because it’s more efficient and power efficient. 11, 600k will increase my electric bill in the long run lol.

Well Intel is super impresive because remembering Intel still using 14nm

So far the 11600k is the only 11th gen CPU worth a damn.

Great video mate, thanks for sharing these! I am looking to pick up the R5 5600X and the RTX 3080 and I'm glad these are the results from those two.
