How stocked catfish actually react to your bait underwater! This one took a lot of time to make, as the water quality here in AZ is not the greatest this year.

We used our gofishcam with our bait to get some awesome shots below in a local urban pond. Underwater fishing videos are highly requested by you all!

These stocked channel catfish were put in 2 days before this video was filmed. It sure showed! The fish were much more finicky than I thought! We were still able to catch them tho.

I actually came to that lake the same day. I’ve been trying to catch carp that were stacked up by the waterfall. Didn’t get anything. But I came back next day, this time I brought bread. Caught five of them with that bait. Guess it was my lucky day!

I find it super interesting that the bluegill don’t eat the bluegill, when I was down in Oklahoma we ran out of night crawlers and used small cuts of the bluegill we caught to catch several more. I was pretty skeptical when my grandpa said it would work lol.

Catching the stocker fish can be like shooting fish in a barrel. It's like they're trained to eat whatever falls in the water within the range for their senses to pick up on it.
Of course, we still have to find them first in order to put our baits in the right place. A couple of years ago I bought one of those castable Chirp-Sonars. It's almost like cheating.

Yeah, the bluegill there are pretty annoying and make matters worse. They’re just way too small for people to take home and cook.

Channel cats are a pain I can catch wild ones from the Rio Grande all day, go to a small 6sq mile lake/pond that's stocked with channels and can't catch anything but bait fish and salad!!!😂

How long do you typically stay out there? I’ve been trying to get a catfish but I only get an hour or two of fishing time so I don’t know if I’m just unlucky or I need to wait longer. I usually wait 20 min then move if I don’t get anything.
