I love how the Brits are straight forward without propaganda and politics. The narrator paints the picture of a chess match with all the pros and cons of each situation.

6 months later...
we can look back at how pathetic, and incompetent the Russian Military really is.
A well earned complete disaster. An embarrassment and evil displayed to the world. Peace for Ukraine.

have to say Sky News is a LOT more useful than BBC during this conflict, at the BBC they seem to have a farm of people all writing versions of the same story. Lots of stories about how people feel, not a lot about what is actually happening on the ground

Hopefully the Ukrainian army can hold on - if they disrupt the logistical support operations of the Russians it will hurt the Russians in a way they cannot rapidly recover from. If they are 100-200 miles away from their sources of supply that puts them at risk for long term operations.

It's so messed up that we are even speculating how tonight will play out.

This has all the hallmarks of a mutual massacre and - sadly - a military epic in the making. Soldiers don't like civilian fighters and this leads to particular bitterness, as does street fighting generally.

Well done to the German Government. Pretty slow to get it but they are now doing what is right.

My heart goes out to the country I was born in. Mixed feelings of guilt and fear. I'm afraid I do too little to help, and picture most viewers, myself including, are 'just eating popcorn' as the tragedy unfolds.

As someone who fought in war for 3 years in my country of Bosnia It would be best option to let Russians enter the city, because Ukraine forces will destroy them in cqb. There is no tank, SUV, transporter that is safe in cqb, imagine thoose young Russians entering Kyiev without knowing where enemy is, and that enemy could be anywhere, also in CQB u are safer from plane attacks and cruise misles, so let them in by few km and make hell on earth for them.

US general Wesley Clark said night time guerrilla warfare is Ukraine’s best option. Organize into small teams and attack the Russians at night. Hopefully they can learn from the Iraqis and Afghans and plant IEDs to take out the tanks.

Never thought about ukraine much, but now I respect them quite a bit. What russia is doing is a disgusting abuse of power from a weak minded man.

The moral of the story is . . . withdraw into the city and use the opportunity to cut the supply lines around Kyiv and continue resisting in the East.
