‘Pure chaos’: Travelers react to global IT outage amid flight delays

Passengers at airports across the country are facing flight delays and cancellations following a global IT outage that’s impacting computer systems. NBC News’ Antonia Hylton spoke to some passengers at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey about how they’re dealing with the disruptions.

It sounds like we need a more dependable OS than Windows. Ever heard of Linux?

Switch to Linux, it's free and much stable. Windows is full of bloatware and issues

not sure how they're going to get everything going again on end-user devices. You have to boot in to Windows, enter a recovery key, and manually delete a file to fix things. This fix apparently can only be done interactively at the actual device - and not pushed from the cloud or a server.

At this point.. flying is a chance game.. you have to expect things like this and ensure you have travel insurance and Back up plans

At least its not a hack (as far as we know); just a botched operations task. "Security" software that kills half the computers in the country. Well, the most secure computer is one that is turned off so..."

You aren't asking what engineers they had working on the program! They saved a few bucks & had Indian engineers write the code!
