Since I am not the only one who wants to write great songs, i cant be the only one who goes to my fav songs closes my eyes and imagines im singing it infront of tons of people

1 You write how you feel,
2 or play something random and sing anything.. 3 whiskey helps.
That's it!!
There is no way to write a song.. Just write if you feel like writing!
Pain works the best.

Start with a poem=
"Welcome to my favoutite place
The place where i make the most mistakes
I need to stay
All day
Im jumping branch from branch
Not knowing where ill land
Just hoping its not home
And knowing its far from my favourite place" and change words, add words, erase words it will eventually turn into a song

This is an extremely good tutorial.... for people who already wright music.... As for a newcomer, this is probably useless.

I just sing some random song and it sounds really then I thought to myself,
"hey, maybe I should right a song.."but TOTALLY FORGET ABOUT THE SONG...
and I do this all the time and haven't wrote a single song....

How I write songs
Step 1: what is something that has happened to you or something that you care about?
Step 2 (optional) what is a metaphor or similie that goes along with your topic? Example, hard times could be referred to as walking through a storm.
Step 3: come up with some lyrics by writing a poem like structure, and using maybe a rhyming dictionary of you get stuck rhyming. Put your little poems together and do the same with the chorus.
Step 4: Make a chord progression that sounds good and sing a melody while playing it. Keep polishing, revising, or editing your melody until you like it.
Step 5: record melodies so you don't forget. Experiment with keys and capos, and finally, string your song together!
