Awesome video, man! I've been "making beats" for years, with MPC and Maschine, but have been learning Ableton over the last year to try to break out of the loop box, if that makes sense. But I've been really having problems trying to conceptualize how to get from start to finish on a complete song. Happy to have found this series. Happy to say I started using your first suggestion about 3 years ago and now have a fairly extensive set of random lyrics, naked hooks and full verses available for further development. Those ideas would have passed me by (as so many did over the years), because I'm lousy about carrying or sleeping near a notepad.
