How to Write a Song: Songwriting for Dummies

Songwriting is hard, and most beginners get it wrong. But that's why I'm here. In this video, I'm going to break down the methods I use to write amazing songs. I'll finally teach you how to write songs even if you've never done it before or know nothing about songwriting.

Using the four methods I'll lay out, by the end of the video you'll be able to write your very own song.

Mattie, I purchased your Vocal Magic 1 presets and wanted to say thank you. Great variety of voices to choose from. One question I do have, however, is how do I get to see the plugins for each voice? Currently in Logic Pro, I only see the "Setting" button but it doesn't show the plugins beneath it on the track.

(I know you're not Logic Pro Tech Support, but just curious if you know what I'm asking and how to get there. I'd like to see the plugins for each voice so I can tweak input/output for each plugin when necessary.)

I don't want to write a song that sounds like that. You lost me in the first minute. Use really good songs (eg. the Beatles) to show good songwriting. If copyright is an issue there are plenty of public domain songs that are good.
