On topic of being allowed to break out of prison: it's formulated a bit misleading. Whats meant is that there is no extra sentence for breaking out. You will be brought back and will receive additional sentences if you hurt somebody or broken something during the escape, but you won't receive a punishment for escaping, since it's a human instinct to seek freedom

not only an ATTEMPT of a break out is not to be punished... when you successfully managed to break out, you wouldn't get a punishment for that. There are a lot of cases, where people broke out, went to a pub to drink a beer or buy an ice cream. And then they go back to prison.

It's not illegal to break out of prison, BUT if you destroy things or hurt people in the process, then of course you're liable!
It's illegal to run out of gas on the highway, but if the police come, you only get a ticket. No policeman in Germany would arrest someone for that!

Your reaction on 3:18 shows me that you think german law and Police works like the US police. There is a BIG difference.

20 German INVENTIONS That CHANGED The WORLD or German Inventions that changed our world forever | PART 2

ad 2) Hamburg has even more bridges, at least if counting only that over water.
ad 3) The attempt to break out of prison is no crime for itself. They will however try to catch you, and you will lose all privileges you received for good conduct (because breaking out counts as bad conduct). You'll however be punished separately if you break something or hurt someone during your attempt - that would led to another criminal case in court.
ad 6) Running out of fuel on the Autobahn poses an avoidable risk to road safety. You're not allowed to use the Autobahn with a vehicle which is not safe enough (or has to less power, or is not adequately insured, or ...). So you'll get a ticket and "points at Flensburg" (where the central register for traffic demerit points is; if you got 8 points, you lose your driver's licence).
ad 7) That is far in the past (and it was anyway a regional thing) - and at the end of that period some smaller schools were rather closed (resp. merged into other schools) due to a scarcity of teachers. Since then the population is growing, partly due to more young couples becoming parents, partly due to immigration of young people from other European countries and since 2015 in a by comparison small amount also due to immigration of refugees.
ad 9) Some states allowed however universities to request small tuition fees for international students from some countries.
ad 10) That is outdated and was caused by a lawsuit regarding copyright and licence fees.
ad 11) Some also explode from time to time before they were found, since the detonators are rotting. Many bombs are found at Autobahn rehabilitation sites. In 2006 and 2013 construction workers died as an undiscovered bomb exploded at Autobahn roadworks; at least 3 times this spring alone some Autobahn section had to be closed due to the discovery of some bomb.
ad 12) In 1917 the German Secret Service also organized the journey of Lenin from Switzerland through Germany, Sweden and Finland to St. Petersburg in Russia in a sealed train.
ad 17) That is a general trend in Europe. In Germany the average age is now nearly 30.
ad 19) That is not true anymore. In 2019 the birth rate in Germany was 1, 54, slightly smaller than 2018, however still higher than the EU average of 1, 53; the lowest rate had Malta (1, 14).
ad 23) Actually the oldest reports are from the Alsace, which however was at that time a part of the German Kingdom within the Holy Roman Empire.
ad 24) Afaik it was not the condom which was illegal, but setting fire within the apartment - apparently the electricity went out, and since they had no candles, they burned condoms, which was seen by the landlord as causing fire hazard.

Japan ans Germany no longer have the lowest birth rates in the world. The 10 countries with the lowest birth rates in 2021 (CIA World Factbook 2021 estimate) are:
Monaco - 6.63
South Korea - 6.89
Andorra - 6.91
Japan - 7.00
Taiwan (limited recognition) - 7.43
Greece - 7.72
Puerto Rico - 7.90
Portugal - 8.02
Spain - 8.05
Bulgaria - 8.15

Again I had to pass some videos.
2:58 It is illegal to stop on an Autobahn, because there is often no speed limit. If you cause it by forgetting to refill, you'll have a problem to explain it. In this case don't talk to police without a lawyer. It depends on your words, how this is classified.
3:52 Every single Bundesland (state) regulates the tuition fees on its own. But even, where they decided to introduce them, you have only to pay, if you study to long or a second time. It is the same for foreign students, because foreign contacts are good for economy and science.

Breaking out of a jail is not punishable under German law, stealing your jail clothing is....:) Running out of gas on the Autobahn will earn nice fine, but you won´t be arrested for it.
