Find the Equation of Exponential Function based on Graph (with transformation)

Показать описание
In this example, we are given the graph of an exponential function and use it to locate two points that are on the graph and the vertical transformation that has been applied to move the horizontal asymptote. One point is the y-intercept. We then set up two separate equations and solve the first for the value of a (the y-intercept). This value is then substituted into the other equation to create an equation with one variable. We then solve the resulting equation for the remaining variable to get our function.

Thank you for posting this, I'm taking an online collage dual credits class for algebra and the video they give me to use doesn't help me at all. This video helped me out so much thank you.

What if the graph given doesn’t show it’s y intercept and it doesn’t give us a point where x is = 0?

yep
