This Ammo Is Insane

Top tier tanks in War Thunder can often be quite tedious to play. However, I was pointed towards M339, a high explosive shell used by the Merkava that essentially acts like APHE. I think it's hilarious and was able to do quite well with it.

From a quick search, it seems like the M339 is the result of Israel believing the concept of MPAT is silly(and it is), where this is effectively their multipurpose round, meant to target bunkers and APCs, hence their very high fuse distance. The time round is to meant to shoot into the window of a structure and explode in the middle of it.

13:04 the Khrizantema-S doesn't even need thermals to shoot through ESS smoke, since it has radar, which also allows it to shoot through the type of smoke that thermals can't see through.

Y'know what ammo is actually insane? The Granata Perforante mod.35 in the 47mm cannon that the AS-42/47 uses.

Another ammo that's insane is the Ikv 103s HEAT-FS shell with 400 mm of pen.

As someone who spent 8euros on wt like i said, i approve of the fact you get 10 times more targeted by cas and almost every round is an uptier when using the decal

I watched a Documentary from the Bundeswehr on this, but the Leopards do get a programmable HE shell that can be used as a normal He shell, exploding on contact or as a SAP shell. In game it simply has 11mm of pen but it should be more (thats what im guessing, since it says that" it pens fortifications after a certain ammount of time"). Video is called: "Der Kampfpanzer Leopard 2: Technik I Bundeswehr" at minute 4. The Merkava could be joined by a Leopard...

correction: im a dumbass and didnt realize that its actually 37mm of pen, doesnt mean you couldnt try it (and i took way to much time making this comment so i wont remove it)
