Actually, I have been thinking of doing my IA on Coronavirus testings. It will be based on probability, talking about the accuracy of medical test and comparing it to relief funds provided by the central government to states based on the number of COVID-19 cases.
I am not sure whether it is meeting the level of MATHS AA SL or not.

Hello sir! I am a bit confused as to what IA topic to choose for maths AA Hl. Here are a few ideas I have. Kindly give me your thoughts on them:
1.Graphing a super hero's logo (perhaps batman or wonder woman)
I feel this is very easy and don't require too much maths in AA Hl.

2. Modelling the GDP of some African countries(perhaps Ghana and Nigeria) or EU countries(perhaps Sweden and Greece).
I feel this has been done many times.

3.Chi-squared to crack codes
I think this is for maths SL.

4. Exploring the Tusi couple.

So... Where to start... I love astronomy and I'd love to do something related to it! I thought about measuring the distance form earth to some stars, but that's too complicated. I´m also very interested in the concept of Time but I don't really know what to do around that! Any ideas for that topic? Or if you have any other idea that might be related to astronomy, that'd be fantastic! I'm also PASSIONATE about the stars, constellation etc... (Maths AA SL level)

I was either thinking of investigating the correlation between age and success of drivers, optimal angle and speed to go at in a corner, optimal tire strategy, or angle above ground to avoid porpoising. Which one do you think would be the best to do an IA on and how or where would I be able to find data for an investigation of this kind.

Hi sir, I am not at all sure if my IA idea is good but I was thinking of modeling a sound wave for a song by first creating a wave and then using Taylor series to create a polynomial equation.

I had another idea where I could try and prove the brachistochrone curve - i.e showing that the shortest distance between two points is a curve but are any of these good ideas?

Hello! I find this video really helpful even though I already have a topic. But I need your opinion on something different. Do you think it is a bad idea to do an IA using "simplified" background information? The title of my exploration is something along the lines of "How to maximize signal transmission between two neurons by optimizing the shape and size of their synaptic junction", but neurological processes sometimes can be a little too vague or complex to explain in detail in a Math IA. Do you think that I could get a low score for doing that, even if I manage to make a great exploration using background simplified info? Any observation would be appreciated. Thank you in advance (:
