I found this film chilling as a kid and it's still a good watch now, RIP David Soul.

I’m 51 and my older sister took me to see it when it was released. I was 8 years old and it still remains one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen. I tried to watch it again last year and it still ramped up my anxiety to 11. Thanks Stephen, you are the King.

David Soul was amzing in this. When he makes the cross he terrified for real. Fantastic perfomance. I know James Mason loved the script and was a very funny man. The Mini Series in a total classic.

Still one of the best vampire films I've ever seen. I'm 34 and Barlow still gives me the creeps every time he pops up on the screen. I'd actually say this is one of the few movies that does the original book justice.

Sad news of David Soul's death brought me here. Must watch this again. Watched it as a kid in about 1980 (age 9) and scared me half to death!

I’m 51 now and it aired on UK television as a two part series. I don’t remember how old I was when I saw it but I absolutely loved it. Our family had just got a VCR so I was able to record it.
A couple of years ago I had night terrors, I was absolutely frozen stiff, dreaming about The Master, I woke up in such a sweat I knew there was only one cure, I got up and watched the entire thing from start to finish.

Thanks Steven King, it’s an absolute classic that will always live with me.

54! And I'd leave the light on after watching it now😱😲😨. Saw it on BBC 1 TV in 79 over 2 nights. 11 at the time it scared the bejaysus out of me. Vampire rising from the kitchen floor, Mrs Glick and Danny as vampires, James Mason etc etc etc! David Soul and the entire cast on top form. Creepy atmosphere throughout.

Lance…Great TV horror thrills were pretty rare for us Gen-Xers in the late ‘70s. Thanks for helping to provide one of the best. RIP

Truly atmospheric horror film filled with dread.
