He was the scariest of all the vampires. He should have had more screen time.

The fact that he didn't have much screen time made it that much more terrifying when you did see him appear✨️

Yes Barlow should have had a few more minutes at least! Best vampire movie ever!

This movie is damn near perfect as it. It terrifies me as a kid, first viewing, and it still delivered when I watched it as a 50-something adult a year or so ago, via an online/iTunes rental. Creepy and sinister, with such dread and unease throughout. The kid in the window damn near killed me as a kid and it wasn’t any kess unsettling a year or so ago.

It was the right decision. He is the scariest vampire of all time so job done!

His absence was chilling and foreboding 😢

That tiny amount of onscreen time was enough to deliciously scare and traumatise me for over 20yrs. a testament to the acting and makeup and cinematography

The glick boy at the window scenes were insanely scary for a child and when the guy who dug and funeral plots got turned and was sitting in the recliner with the glowing yellow eyes saying look at me and the Barlow unveiling were 3 of the most horrific scenes ever

He was the scariest vampire I’ve ever seen, he should be proud of his work in this movie, sorry he’s disappointed in his screen time presence, but he should be proud that his character will live in cinematic history!! GREAT JOB!!!

Reggie was an accomplished actor. His natural facial features allowed him to play the scariest looking vampire in history( my opinion). Being a Salems Lot fanatic, I would say yes, Barlow could have had more scenes, but at the same time, by limiting his screen time, kept us more in suspense as to ‘when’ is he going to appear again?

I watched this when I was 13, couldn’t bloody sleep for three nights!!!
Just a brilliant bit of filmmaking .
I’m still freaked out by these clips 45 years later!!

His presence was iconic. I never would have guessed that he'd gotten so little screen time. When I think about the movie, Barlow is the first character that comes to mind. I believe that this two-part, made for TV movie is one of the best adaptations of Stephen King's work that has ever been done.

He didn't need to be on screen that often...just knowing he's "floating around" was enough

Sometimes less is more and actually adds to the scare factor. Because too much screen time would most likely desensitize you to his presence. But this movie has been a nightmare fuel for me for decades. The best and scariest vampire movie ever made by far. I think I shit my pants with the kid vampire in the window floating around!😬

He has every right to be disappointed.

Barlow is the very reason I wear rosary beads As faith and fashion choice terrifying I think if the vampire would have been shown too much the mystery scariness and power would be greatly diminished He may have been upset but limiting Barlow screentime worked it didn't come off as corny or cheesy
