The music in Salem’s Lot (1978) can’t be understated. A great horror score, and no better example than this scene. That eerie organ music that plays as Mark holds the cross and Danny Glick recoils from it’s power is so perfectly timed for this scene. Creepy and underrated. Love it!!!

I'm 60 years old and still sleep with the blinds and curtains drawn as a direct result of having watched this right here in 1979. FTR, it's 2023...! For its' time, it was scary AF. Probably damaged a lot of other kids, too LOL

After watching this with my dad, he ran too my bedroom window and tapped on it, "Open the window Andy!!" I was out of my room and was running back to the living room. My dad, didn't quite make it in from the front door. He tripped over the brick fence railing. We were both laughing so hard, ect. Great memories of being scared. Lol

One of the best vampire movies ever made, and one of the best horror movies ever made. Note the contrast of how mark overcomes where the brother shown here did not against the little brother of his. And the little brother bit this vampire and let him in 3 times to cause his bodily death and the resulting vampirism transcending in two window scenes prior to this.
