3060 will only show advantages when VRAM is an issue. If you tweak the settings to not use more than 8GB than obviously the 4060 is better

This is interesting, I am running an rtx 3060 12gb myself, and in Warhammer, I would very rarely see FPS drops below 60-55fps in those same exact settings.

This is the same thing that was happening way back when cards had 128MB of VRAM and Nvidia was making 256MB versions which at the time was pointless as the card itself wasn't fast enough for this extra VRAM to really matter in 99.9% of games

in my country the price difference is not that big, so yeah 4060 is an interesting option. although it has less vram, but for 1080p and maybe some 1440p games it should be enough

The 4060 is not a good card for its price, or performance…cope all you want 4060 owners. The guys that purchased the 3060 12gb made a much better decision. 20% better performance 💀 are you blind?!?! This is why Nvidia continues to do what it does.

Can’t believe people are saying “The 4060 will perform better than the 3060 in the future” you keep believing that. The card will be no better off than the 3060 will in modern AAA titles. If you had a 3060 12gb and upgraded to a 4060 8gb, congratulations you just went from a 1080p card to another 1080p card. The 4060 is not a 1440p competitor and damn sure isn’t for 4k.

This test might benefit from using older hardware.
You can notice that the 4060 is using less VRAM on some games.
It probably means that it more often needs to transfer texture or other data between RAM and VRAM.
So if you compared on, let's say, an AMD 5600 with 16GB of cheap DDR4, which a lot of gamers have, the 4060 might have less of an edge.

I don’t understand why you don’t show the difference between DLSS and having frame gen. It gives the 4060 a significant advantage.
