Correction: On Plague Tale, DLSS was enabled. That's why it's fps is higher. Without DLSS, the average FPS is around 37

And people were saying "8 GB isn't enough" LOL. Here's a 8 GB card outperforming a 12GB one, while also consuming less energy. I think this is a pretty easy choice to make.

When I bought it, the 4060 was cheaper than the 3060. It also had greater efficiency and less heat. expansion from 1660s 6gb

What I'm curious about, is how your temps stay so low? If my 3060 hits gpu load +95 temps rise instantly to over 70

the 4060 has better energy savings, it is always 40/50 w below the consumption of the 3060 which is no small thing for those who then pay the bill

3060 has a 192 bit bus while 4060 is 128 bit. That’s why they’re so similar in speed.

I'm calling BS on this one. There isn't a single 4060 that has a boost clock over 2.5 GHz. This is manual OC.

Also it should not be recorded with nvidia Shadow Play cause 4000 series have updated soc for video processing so ther eis more stress on 3060 from recording video than on 4060. Next time use CPU to record video or use 2nd Video card to record it or Integrated Graphics Card for example in Ryzen CPU(both 264x and 265x codecs are avaiable) or use external capture card. So work around that to have proper tests.

Something definitely wrong with your plague tale result. I've had nearly the 4060 fps on similar settings on my 12gig 3060 which ran around 2Ghz most of the time and I doubt shadowplay has to to anything here cuz from my decades of experience using it, it barely eats up 5-7fps fps at worst.

Got a budget 4060 laptop and it's just like its desktop version and it's performing real good in 1440p and 1080p with dlss and fg on(getting 70 to 100 fps in most new games in 1440p)( dlss and fg is one of the only reasons i bought rtx 4000 series)(tuf laptop : rtx 4060, corei7 12700h, 32g ddr4 3200hz)

why would you test them at 1440, when the target resolution for these cards is 1080?

Strange. Newer one with lower tech speed almost in every game wins but with low bandwidth rate i would be affraif ot stuttering when playing with it. 128b vs 196b..
