I am from Austria and my wife is from Afghanistan. She had to leave the country in the age of twelve and came as a refugee to Austria where I met her. We are living at the moment in Australia. My wife is studying as a phd, how to empower women in Afghanistan.

We forget that simple things in life we have that others don't, which if they had, they would be extremely happy, and yet, we are unhappy with our lives. We don't have cancer, we are not about to die from AIDS, we are not living on the street, all that shit, should be enough to make us happy, because with all that shit, someone out there would be endlessly happy. For someone out there, having you life, as bad as you might think it is, for them, it would be their life resolved. Even you, if you lost what you have, you would appreciate, so why not, be concious about it, and appreciate it now? Be happy now. You, I, we shoud be.
