I would like to setup a system for an elderly parent. There are a few things that are important. Voice calling and receiving phone calls, scheduled regular TV shows, scheduled Zoom meetings, the ability to fix things remotely and to send pictures.

I don't currently have an Alexa with screen but use Alexa to directly control any browser on any device. It certainly looks like the 'Show' range would also work with it. It also works with Occulus and allows full Alexa control of that browser too. Launching videos, web pages and even performing web searches. I use this browser system around my pool table to play & stack my chosen music videos onto large screen TV's. Just reel out all of the track numbers you want Alexa to stack, just like a jukebox. If this is of interest, I'd be more than happy to guide you through the setup so that you can use all of this yourself. This goes well beyond just 'Turn it on' and 'Turn it off'. Great video.

Love the echo show. I have set it up to control my smart TV, by being able to turn it off or on by voice command. Handy when hubby walks out leaving the TV on all the time.

The bigger display is a huge plus and seems like the integrated mediatek support works well as well.

You can have the Echo Show 15, or any Echo Show, display a camera view when motion is detected by setting up a routine for a supported camera, by using the "Custom" action feature.

For example, in the New Routine setup press "When this happens", select "Smart Home". Choose a supported camera, select "Motion", select "Detected", press "Next". Press "Add Action", select "Custom". Enter "show [camera name]", for example, show Front Door. Press "Next". Press "Choose Device", select the Echo Show that you want the view to displayed on, then press "Save".

I should add that the [camera name] should be spelled exactly as it is in the Alexa app including upper/lower case.

If you want to show a camera when motion happens (if Ring supports it like Eufy) then you could maybe use a Routine like I do. If motion is detected I get it to the command "Alexa Show Front Doorbell Camera" and it works. I have another routine that triggers with motion that starts with a wait 2 mins then runs "Alexa Stop showing Front Doorbell Camera" (this is for if the person I set it up for is not home I know it'll at least turn it off after 2mins)

Nice video. I just got a show 15 and and have my wyze video doorbell setup to show on it. Is there a routine i can make to make the popup maximize? And a routine to automatically remove itself after one or two minutes? Any help would be great.

Thanks for making this video but I need to find out why the heck all my photos from Amazon photos uploaded on my Echo. Ugh so frustrating when you thousands of photos😭😭 Also I ask Echo to open YouTube and play my music since I have YouTube Premium Music. I previously had the 8 and have no regrets trading the 8 to the 15. Love the big screen!! Subscribed and looking forward to checking out more of your videos. Awesome content👍
