Pink Floyd - Echoes - (2016 Remastered) [HQ Vinyl Rip] Black Vinyl LP

It's difficult for me to determine exactly where a song like Echoes lands in the mix of Pink Floyd releases. If I had to choose, I would say somewhere between top 5 and top 10. To me, it's one of their best, and carries a multitude of musical styles that represents exactly the type of sound variation you can expect from a band like Pink Floyd. I would describe Echoes as a type of maddening, yet blissful void that you're trying to escape from, but you don't know if you want to leave. Almost like the end feels it's within arms reach, but you can't quite get there. It just gives you so much, and the experience will seem different to each person depending on who you are. This is, Echoes presented on black vinyl.

The very first time I heard this piece of music. I was 16.
Headphones, Laying on my bed in the dark.
No drugs.
Just a meditative state of calm.
I was transfixed on every note, every word.
I took flight and when the album side ended. I didn't move. I just took a deep breath. It forever changed the way I listened to music.
PINK FLOYD were from that moment. My all-time favorite band.

I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd twice in the early 70’s. Once fort the Meddle tour and once for the Dark Side Of The Moon tour. Great concerts from a musical time that will never come again. Real musicians with real talent.

Did you notice that the drums seem to roll backwards? This is a special effect only could have been performed by masters engineers of sound, the great PINK FLOYD!!!
Keep in mind that there were no digitalization at all then, even keyboards were noisy, so how come they could achieve all these masterpieces, pioneers of the slide guitars and winds effect, almost hear seagulls... Picture yourself at the sea... Then back in the cosmos, these guys are still top of the art, even dead, they will continue to make people's mind sharper and faster... Still Love Them, 2020...

Echoes est l'une des toutes premières chansons que j'ai entendue des Pink floyd lorsque j'avais une vingtaine d'années .

I went to a small grammar school in rural England and the school play we put on in 1973 was Macbeth, as sound effects for the three witches scene we used the middle section from Echoes, the guy in the year above me who came up with the idea went on to become a sound engineer for the BBC and later an important film editor. In 1975 I remember sitting with friends next to a quiet lake in the remote mountains Mid Wales (close to where Led Zep wrote Stairway) and playing Echoes on my portable stereo record player, an unforgettable experience. In 1977 I finally got see to Pink Floyd in concert (Stafford), it was the "Animals" tour and as the great inflatable pig floated above the crowd it partially broke free and descended until it was only a few feet above our heads! Oh happy days. For me PF reached their peak with Meddle, DSofTM and WYWH.
