Captain America --- The character wears a costume bearing an American flag motif, and he utilizes a nearly indestructible shield that he throws as a projectile. Captain America is the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum to aid the United States government's efforts in World War II. Near the end of the war, he was trapped in ice and survived in suspended animation until he was revived in modern times. Although Captain America often struggles to maintain his ideals as a man out of his time, he remains a highly respected figure in his community, which includes becoming the long-time leader of the Avengers.

" You and I are gonnna have a conversation later that you won't enjoy" is my favorite line of all time

This might be my favorite scene. Philips tells Steve exactly where they are and what the situation will be, and then tells him to "understand it somewhere else" since Steve "has someplace to be in thirty minutes" and that Peggy should keep anything she has to say to herself. Best not-a-briefing ever.

In my opinion, this was the scene that solidified that Chris was a great choice for the role

I wish they showed Steve drawing more times than just this scene and a deleted scene from Avengers 2012. In the comics, Steve was working toward an BFA at NYU before the war broke out. He wanted to be an artist, but then just like so many, his life changed immensely and he wanted to do his part. They never really show what Steve and Bucky were like before WWII, except for that flashback in Winter Soldier and that wholesome yet brief dialogue between the two in Civil War about hitching a ride in a freezer truck coming back from the beach

"Bond sales go up by 10% in every state I visit" I guarantee you this is doing a lot more for the war effort then any amount of "super-soldiering" could

What a great scene. Steve already was a great guy, but this was the moment he truly learned his purpose. :)

I know this might have already been said lots of time...But dang, Peggy and Steve truly were made for each other. They understand each other so well.
