Chest Voice vs Head Voice: What's the Difference?

I’ve heard that for singers, it’s best to speak in the register you sing in. So if you’re a soprano, speak in head voice, a bass speak in a low chest voice, that way when it comes time to sing your voice is warmed more to that space and it doesn’t have to strain so much
