The biggest difference between the bags, and something like gold is that you literally cannot produce any more gold in already exists. Yes Hermes bags are very nice and rare however, there’s nothing technically stopping them making millions of them if they really really wanted to. If there is a high demand and low supply on anything no matter what it's price will be high. Ecomomy works like this and i see why hand made stuffs are really expensive because in mass production firms can produce 100 times more than firms make them by hand and also there is more effort.

I refuse to wear name branded clothing. If I am to strut around with a name brand on my shirt or shoes I better get paid for all this free advertising! Besides, it looks cheap and tacky.
