I finally made the switch from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but why did I do it? There were quite a few reasons for making the upgrade, so let's talk about it!

The start menu is a great example of why I don't like Windows 11. Sure you can group apps, but now you have added another layer. It's the theme of Windows 11 for me. Everything that was easy before on W10 now requires a couple of more clicks to navigate. They've changed things for the sake of changing instead of the changes actually adding a benefit. I don't know if they've fixed this with an update, but changing my audio output device was such a pain on W11. On W10, I just click on the little speaker icon and select my device.

Thank you for taking the time to make and share this video. I just updated some hardware and I have been debating if I wanted to make the jump to Win-11. Now that Win-11 has been out for sometime, I think it is time to give it a chance. Again, thank you, sir.

For me, upgrading to Windows 11 would be a nightmare. The reasons for this is when you have SO MANY Music plugins for FL Studio, and ALL the Licenses, I don't want to deal with having to reinstall, and reactivate LITERALLY everything. I just can't seem a compelling reasons to switch, even if Windows 10 support ran out, It's just not worth it. I have Windows 11 on my Dell E5450 and I hate it. It's a slow laggy mess on an i5 5300-U. Windows 11 came out for no reasons really and it just doesn't seem like that good to bother with.

Thanks for the Great video. I've been on the fence and after seeing this I really don't feel the need to upgrade so I will stick with Win 10 which I have on 3 computers and Win 7 on 2 (actually dual booting on one) I don't feel like I am missing out on anything earth shattering

After more than a year of hesitation i finally install 11 22H2 today. not so many difference for me, the major change is the taskbar icons in the center. i was thinking about a drastic changes but nothing special or too different. I see the apps and commands more responsive and faster opening which is the most important thing. certainly it will took some days to catch the hand but i'm glad i did the upgrade, I reccomend it.

The thing I like about Windows 11 is that it makes me feel better about having 10. :P

Seriously though, about the only thing I like in this new OS is the rounded corners. Windows 7 still did that better, since there's still no aero-style translucency.

All the new apps look far worse. File Explorer? Start Menu? Taskbar? All they did was remove the options that were previously easy to access and hide them behind obtuse, simplistic icons that you don't know what many of them mean or do until you scroll over them. Or hiding more options behind an extra click on the three dots. Just really stupid changes. Did they forget they were programming an OS for the PC, not a smartphone?! Hiding things away to save space only makes sense on a small device (and most smartphones these days aren't even small anymore).

Yeah...I'm sticking with 10.

Hey man I enjoyed the video. I just wanted to say that from my experience on windows 11 it really does consume more resources on my laptop. I had issues with it being slow often. I even reinstalled Windows 11 twice and it did not fix it and I also upgraded to 16GB of ram as well and my cpu is a Core I5 10700K. I downgraded back to 10 and performance is good. I still feel like performance on windows 11 needs improvement but that is just me. Other than that I enjoyed your vid and I will subscribe to you. :)

Do you know why I HATE Windows 11?

-EVERY little configuration that was 2~3 clicks is now 5~10 clicks away from you.
-There is no improvement, it just changed.

Thank you for helping me to decide if I should update or not. i am not very tech savvy and so have no Idea of what a lot of what you explained was.. Being honest here. But I will not update, since I have no need for more than what Windows 10 gives me.

Hello, this was really informative! I am intrigued to try it, but I am afraid of it if I got quick enough to get into it as I am doing online courses as a BSL student. It came up automatically that my laptop can have it. Still not sure if I shall do this, need help in this if it is REALLY a benefit!

I installed Windows 11 on a separate partition. I battled with it for a week, the screen kept losing the background going black. The start menu has become complicated. The Quick Launch toolbar is gone. Then an update caused it to restart with flashing screens. Managed to roll back the update, but have lost faith in Windows 11. So I found a better use for that partition I created....

It takes so long to disable all the stuff that Microsoft tries to force feed you. I hate that they keep removing functionality. Luckily there is a terminal code to fix the right-click. I don't like how aggressive they are with One Drive, Edge, and other Microsoft products. Not being allowed to set up your computer without an internet connection or a Microsoft account is also something I don't care for. At least you can still create local accounts (for now). I'd recommend Linux Mint over Windows 11 if asked.

not sure if you will see this but I was curious how you go about doing a fresh install of windows on your computer every couple of years? like what do you do with the data you have on your hard drive and do you go through finding and reinstalling all programs you have had?

I can't drag documents to my taskbar buttons anymore, this is hardest thing to get to use to on 11.
