My tint guy tried to get me to do 35% on the windshield but i went with 50% instead. I live in Fl and almost never have to use sunglasses plus the car stays cooler. Night driving isn't affected, too.

The back window is actually the hardest. A lot of shops won’t even do the entire thing in 1 piece (or they charge a lot of money for it).

damn 15 looks good on the sides, I live in California so I had to go 35 and its not as fishbowl during the day, but its still fishbowl at night.

I have a 30% on the front with 15% on the sides it makes such a difference with heat rejection especially with all of the glass and the vehicle being darker colors.

Brandon, I'm getting delivery of the same car soon. All my other Teslas have also been serviced at CD, and Steve is the OG for Tesla work in Denver. Anyway, I have never tinted my windshield. Are there any concerns with rock chips here in Colorado? Also, u did XR Prime…they are telling me either XR Black or XR plus? Thoughts?

Most may disagree with this, but I prefer no tint, UV doesn’t go thru Tesla’s double glass anyway.

Although I did tint my M3 80% all around include windshield and roof glass, that was still too dark to me. The transparent look simply looks more 3 dimension, and looks cleaner (if your interior is clean). There’s a reason most super cars, collector cars, and classic cars don’t tint. As the car gets older, fish bowl looks more *fresh*.

As far as privacy goes, I do have fitted and removable mesh for all the windows.

Do you choose a specific shade of tint? I kind of like other drivers being able to see where I am looking, in case there’s a situation where I fail to notice something. But I also feel very exposed in my fish bowl.
