John, when using the ultrasonic cleaner "do not place your fingers/hand in the liquid when the ultrasonics is on" you will damage the nerve endings even with gloves on

I used to do a lot of gas brazing back in the 90's was on price-work I started on a number 2 nozzle and eventually as I got better and faster ended up using a 18-20 nozzle preheating the next piece in line as I brazed the first etc.

B'stards then cut the price work so ended up slowing right down using a number 2 again. The flux we used was a liquid chemical with a really long name that was poured into a eureka type vessel fitted inline on the acetylene hose, the vapour mixed with the gas and turned the flame green. Good times. 👍

Unlike acid-based cleaners our solution will not attack aluminium to darken the surface instead it is compatible and leave a good clean finish.

Have used a small basket type ultrasonic cleaner for many years, very effective. I have found for small parts like carb jets and suchlike a small yoghurt tub with a little white vinegar in it is great I just sit the bought tub in the water filled ultrasonic bath and it works a treat, no need to have the parts in the main bath water., saves chasing small jets etc around in the. larger bath. Also if you are using a more expensive cleaning fluid it's much more economical. Might take a couple of minutes longer but it still works well.

I've got some scoring (dirt particles when changing a hose over) in a hydraulic rotator (vane type) and watching this has made me think about having a go at filling the scores with SifBronze and then lapping it back ?
