The village that my parents are from, Sfakia, Crete has a legend where our people came from a tribe from Central Asia. According to oral tradition, the tribe we came from had people with light hair, bright coloured eyes, and tall statures. The Sfakians are classified by the other cretans with these features. In my family these traits are scattered throughout. Some people in my family have the light hair, some have the bright colored eyes (me), and others are just tall. But there are some Sfakians with all of those traits

I was first made aware of the Iranian Aryan connection in addition to much of what this video subject matter delves into from a Iranian engineer who I worked with. This was truly enlightening as this was nearly 20 years ago. This is video goes into much greater depth and is most interesting.
