European peoples are called Japhethites or Japhetes according to the Bible, because their earliest ancestor after the Flood was a son of Noah. He was the brother of Ham, father of the Africans, and also the brother of Shem, father of the Semites. Therefore, the Bible reveals the origin of white peoples.

I am currently following the study the Bible in a year and I just started and I’m in the middle of the lineage of Noah where these are all mentioned. Then I stumbled upon this and it is fascinating to me. I knew we were all brothers and sisters.. but it’s really neat to have some idea of how things came to be the way they are today, in addition to how it was in the beginning.
