Always Kind of funny hear americans say " I don't want the government tell me what to do!"
But they are totally fine that a private for profit company basically can dictate what you can and can not do.

When I was a child I always wanted to live in the united States. Now that I am an adult I am so incredibly grateful to live in Germany!

It's so funny, those people "heared that something is like this or that" and firmly believe it. But they can a) never explain where exactly they got the informations from and b) are quite adamant they're right. Even when someone who literaly knows better (because of own experience!!) tells them otherwise 😮
I really like your content, it helps me find new appreciation to all those things in germany we often tent to complain about!

Served in Germany for 6 years and used their health care when my daughter got sick and the Army hospital couldn't treat her.- the care we received was EXCELLENT! Loved my time in Germany as well as the German people.

My US father and German mother in law both came down with similar neurological symptoms within days of each other back in the mid 90s. Helga went into surgery within days of returning to Germany, and went to a Kurheim (a spa) in northern Germany to recover, she didn’t have to do anything other than go to physical therapy, eat, and relax while recovering. My father, endless appointments for years. Meanwhile, his condition deteriorated to a point where they couldn’t do anything for him. For my mother in law, it’s a distant memory. For my father, it’s suffering that continues to this day.

Diabetic people dont have to die in germany because they cant afford insulin. You dont have to sell your house when you twist your ankle and the concept of not calling the ambulance because of money is absolutely bewildering.

I was in Sri Lanka recently and the healthcare is free for everyone including foreigners. No one is paying an extra insurance fee. It's all covered with the tax income to the government. You can also use private access as well and it's very versatile. For a third world country they are doing pretty good.

Tbh its always impressive to me how well the system in the US got people convinced they have the best healthcare system while their system is by far the most expensive one while being worse for the majority of people.

When i started hearing from people that they wont go to a doctor or are worried to go i was shocked. I still am since its unimaginable to me.

I like how Americans can say ”owning a gun is my god given right” but think that being healthy and having access to healthcare is not a right but a privilige

I was told the same thing by an American. I’m Canadian. I just laughed and shared the truth.

Bro! This whole thing about wait times kills me. I'm in the Midwest looking for a primary care provider and the EARLIEST appointment I've been able to make is four months away. The others I asked to make an appointment with would have been six months.

And the prices of the medicines are much lower. In Germany you don’t pay 600€ for an asthma spray. It’s 15€.

In univeral health care, citizens make only a small tax contribution towards it. In America, citizens pay taxes, insurance, and additional out-of-pocket costs for healthcare. Healthcare is way more expensive for American citizens than universal health Care is for citizens in Universal Healthcare countries.

while the gun stuff is a mixed opinion in Europe, some of us would be ok with having guns, in a Swiss kinda way.The health care system in America is nightmare fuel for Europeans, it’s literally the biggest thing that stops us coming to America even for holidays, and if there’s something we like it’s holidays.

And US healthcare despite being more expensive also has a lower life expectancy 😮

Among western nations in several recent studies over several years, the US repeatedly ranks well below European health care in terms of quality, cost, and health care outcomes.

And while diet and lifestyle certainly have an impact, the US also is seeing a lower life expectancy than countries like Germany.

So if the US Healthcare system were really delivering on its price tag, shouldn't we be seeing the US ranking at the top in at least one of those categories?

Almost like here in the US, we’ve just gotten so used to garbage and have been convinced we deserve it that other people having better is unbelievable. Boy do I wish my country wasn’t actively trying to kill me all the time, that’d be great

I heavily believe videos like this are important for Americans to see I myself like seeing there is a chance for a world where people don't go into debt trying to get what should be a basic necessity in healthcare, Americans are very adamant that if they haven't figured something out yet it's not possible because we don't have a good public health Care system we don't see it as a possibility for other countries to even though we just have to divert like maybe the smallest amount of military spending to healthcare and we can cover everyone

Thank you so much for this. I live in Texas and I HATE our health 'care' system. And I hate hearing the myth 'they have a longer wait time' or 'they're limited on what Dr's they see'. As if we aren't?! Between our monthly premiums, high deductibles, and copays, I am pretty sure we wouldn't have to pay that much for national HC.
