I consider myself to be nominally a Libertarian. But the idea that the US healthcare system is premised on a market-based economy is total BS. While there are elements of a market-based economy for over the counter medications and to some extent, primary care providers. The rest is entirely captive. At this point, I don't see how anyone can argue that healthcare or health insurance is anything like market-based - that just makes you look like a total joke.
