I live in Fairfield. It is a hell-hole. You have to wait 30 min at Walmart to buy batteries because everything must be locked up. Last time I was at Staples, three thugs walked out with 3 printers. Clerks told me it happens all the time. And every fast food place doubles as a homeless shelter.

I live In suisun and let me tell you what… I have lived in solano county for my whole life. Solano county stands for something really important that everyone should know if they live here.
Solano stands for, Shit Outta Luck And No Options, because that’s what happens when you stay here and that’s who lives here. People that are shit outta luck with no options so they end up staying here for generations.
It’s not a good place to raise kids (unless you have money for private schooling or want to home school) and it’s not a good place to live as a single couple. Yeah sac is 45mins-1hr 20mins away and the city is about an hour away too with places to fish all around you but if you’re looking for things to do, solano isn’t it. There isn’t much here and the mall isn’t that good. Best thing to do is get the hell out of California.

Now if you’re comparing solano to the rest of California then yes, come here and live here in solano county (minus Vallejo, it’s part of solano). DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE BAY AREA TO LIVE OR RAISE A FAMILY. That’s my best advice lol

It’s not really popular opinion in these comments but I really like Fairfield. Like any city it has its downsides but some of the things I really like is the great wineries, nice hiking trails and open spaces, and golf course options. Also the proximity to both SF and Sacramento is convenient and makes for great weather! 😊

Count the number of payroll loan/check cashing, tattoo shops, pawn shops, and bars on North Texas St. Fairfield is a dump. USAF Officers all move to Vacaville. Fairfield has more expensive housing and twice the crime of Vacaville and Winters.

I lived right off of alaska ave.
Went to go to work one day when i saw blood splat on the apartment across from me, turns out an elderly black man was shot in the face, bullet going through both cheeks. That splatter was part of his face. When i brought it up to my neighbor, hos response was, "i told my cousin not to do it"
Thats why i left fairfield and went to vacaville

No, because of Travis Air Force Base traffic sucks on the highway and it is so windy there almost all year around. A lot of large shopping centers are also off the freeway and this is another reason why traffic sucks on the freeway

The 600k homes are 40 years old. "Diversity" does not make a place automatically better or even good for that matter. It just means more people with different views and ideas that can't agree therefore get less shit done and fight 3 times harder to even start anything. and I don't know why people are so hung up on diversity.... I suggest you move to Vacaville. I've lived in Fairfield most of my life and I can tell you with all these diverse people moving into this town and on to it's sidewalks this town is NOT "up and coming" but in a downward spyro. Vacaville hides it better but their cops are bigger assholes than Fairfield. Significantly worse and Fairfield there are a few assholes there too. .... Okay, I moved here to Fairfield in 1991, I went to Fairfield high, for the last 30 years Fairfield has gone down hill. Family owned businesses are leaving. No good shopping here. The mall is trash when it used to be packed every weekend and look at it now, more stores are closing. North Texas is not what it used to be. Yet I’m still here and the only thing stoping me is that I’m looking after my father.

Grew up here … it’s a joke . Hard on small business. Really nothing going on except the mall and that’s almost dead. No foot traffic downtown thousand other places easy that you would want to live.
